Google Cloud has announced the general availability of Imagen 2 on Vertex AI, marking a significant advancement in image-generation technology. Developed with Google DeepMind, Imagen 2 offers high-quality, photorealistic images from textual prompts. It supports text rendering in multiple languages, logo generation, and visual question-answering capabilities.
The model includes built-in privacy and safety features, along with Google’s two-pronged copyright indemnification approach. New features also include enhanced image and text understanding, multi-language prompt support, and comprehensive safety filters. Notably, Imagen 2 is integrated with Google DeepMind’s experimental digital watermarking service. Organizations like Snap, Shutterstock, and Canva are already leveraging Imagen 2 to enhance their creative processes.
