The Infinite Bar is a free AI-powered group chat platform that simulates conversations between legendary mentors, innovators, and thought leaders. You can create discussion rooms with 2-5 AI characters who interact with each other and respond to your questions.
The platform differs from standard AI roleplay because the characters have relationships with each other. Steve Jobs might debate product design with Jony Ive while Naval Ravikant weighs in on startup philosophy. The AI personalities can agree, disagree, or even ignore you based on the conversation flow.
The tool allows you to chat with over 40 characters spanning entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, writers, and fictional personalities. You can export your conversations as PDF or TXT files and rejoin previous discussions by entering the same topic.
Features
- Multi-Character Interaction: You can select between 2 and 5 characters to interact simultaneously in a single chat room.
- Contextual Relationships: The AI agents possess pre-defined opinions about each other. They argue, agree, or ignore each other based on their historical or fictional personalities.
- 40+ Characters: Choose from entrepreneurs (Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos), scientists (Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Stephen Hawking), artists (Leonardo da Vinci, Walt Disney), writers (Haruki Murakami, Paulo Coelho, William Shakespeare), investors (Naval Ravikant, Paul Graham, Charlie Munger), and fictional characters (Master Oogway, Spider-Man, Chandler Bing, Michael Scott).
- @Mention System: Tag specific characters to direct questions at them. You can ask Einstein his opinion on Musk’s work or get Jobs to critique a product idea.
- Topic-Based Rooms: Start conversations with a specific discussion topic or leave it open for freeform chat. The same topic acts as a room ID for rejoining conversations later.
Use Cases
- Product Development Brainstorming: Gather Steve Jobs, Jony Ive, and Jeff Bezos in a room to discuss product design philosophy. Ask them to critique your app idea and watch them debate simplicity versus feature completeness.
- Investment Strategy Discussion: Create a chat with Charlie Munger, Naval Ravikant, and Paul Graham to explore investment theses. Tag each one to get their perspective on risk management or startup evaluation.
- Creative Writing Feedback: Bring together William Shakespeare, Haruki Murakami, and Paulo Coelho to discuss narrative structure. Share a plot outline and observe how each character approaches storytelling differently.
- Leadership Philosophy Exploration: Assemble Indira Gandhi, Simon Sinek, and Oprah Winfrey to explore different leadership styles. Ask them to debate autocratic versus servant leadership approaches.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Invite Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, and Ada Lovelace to discuss complex scientific or mathematical concepts. Watch them explain quantum mechanics in ways that build on each other’s explanations.
Case Studies
I tested the relationship dynamics of the tool by creating a specific scenario to see if the characters actually maintained their unique voices. I set up a chat room named ScriptByAI and included Albert Einstein and Elon Musk.
I tagged @Einstein and asked for his opinion on Elon Musk. Einstein did not give a generic Wikipedia-style answer. He described Musk as a “fascinating individual” with a “grand vision.” However, he also added a critical nuance that felt authentic to his character. He noted that Musk could benefit from “a bit more patience with the present.”

How to Use It
1. Visit theinfinite.bar and click the “Start Group Chat” button.
2. Browse the character gallery or use the search field to find specific personalities. Click on each character card to add them to your group. You need at least 2 characters and can add up to 5.

3. Enter a discussion topic if you want to guide the conversation. Topics like “What makes a great product?” or “The future of artificial intelligence” work well. You can also leave this blank for an open conversation where characters interact naturally.

4. Click “Start Chat” to begin. Type your questions or comments in the message box. Use @CharacterName to tag someone specific. For example, typing “@Albert Einstein What’s your take on Elon Musk?” directs your question to Einstein specifically.
5. The characters respond based on their personalities and relationships. Einstein might give a thoughtful analysis while Jobs delivers a blunt critique. They can also respond to each other’s comments without your input.
Albert Einstein
Ah, Elon. A fascinating individual, driven by a grand vision for humanity's future.
He dares to think beyond the immediate horizon, which is something I deeply appreciate.
Though sometimes, a bit more patience with the present might serve those big ambitions.
6. Click the download icon to export your conversation as a PDF or TXT file. This saves the entire chat history for later reference.

7. Copy the topic name you entered if you want to return to this conversation later. Entering the same topic on a future visit rejoins the same discussion room.
Pros
- Unique relational dynamic: The pre-set interactions between characters generate more authentic multi-party discussions.
- Zero cost: The tool is completely free with no login required.
- Export functionality: Saving conversations as documents is useful for reflection or content ideas.
- Unexpected insights: The cross-disciplinary debates often yield angles you wouldn’t consider alone.
Cons
- Limited group size: Capping groups at five characters can feel restrictive for larger panel ideas.
- No true memory: While you can rejoin by topic, characters don’t retain deep memory of past sessions’ nuance.
- Fixed persona set: You cannot create or customize your own AI characters, only use the provided library.

FAQs
Q: Can characters really disagree with each other or is it just scripted?
A: The AI generates responses dynamically based on each character’s programmed personality and the conversation context. Characters can genuinely disagree, interrupt, or ignore certain points based on their simulated worldviews.
Q: What happens to my conversations after I close the browser?
A: If you entered a topic, your conversation persists and you can rejoin it by entering the same topic again. If you didn’t enter a topic, the conversation will be lost. The platform stores conversations based on the topic identifier rather than user accounts.
